Jamila Welfare Foundation (JWF) was established in Karachi by committed civic and community leaders to bridge the gap between urgent humanitarian relief and sustainable long-term development. Formally registered on 17 October 2025 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 (Registration No. KAR NO. 025 of 2025-26) following clearance from the Home Department, Government of Sindh, the Foundation operates on a strictly non-political, non-sectarian, and non-profit basis.
Under our registered Memorandum of Association and Bylaws, JWF serves families across Karachi and Sindh across two mutually reinforcing spheres:
- Core Humanitarian & Social Welfare: Primary healthcare & medical camps, student education support, food security, safe drinking water, women’s empowerment, and disaster relief.
- Climate & Environmental Stewardship: Native tree plantation (Go Green Campaign), climate change resilience, sustainable agriculture, community solar access, waste reduction, and green livelihood skills.

As Founding President of Jamila Welfare Foundation, Zafar Iqbal Hajvery leads the Foundation’s strategic vision, institutional governance, and regulatory compliance across humanitarian relief and environmental action in Karachi and Sindh.
